Autumn/Fall

  • Leaves change color from green, to red, orange, or yellow
  • Chlorophyll levels in the leaves begin to go down as the daylight gets shorter, temperature gets colder
  • Carotenoids and Anthocyaninslevels in the leaves go up in the autumn
  • Leaves begin to fall off because they are deciduous; meaning the leaves fall off and grow back in the spring

Winter


  • June, July, August
  • Average temperature is a little below freezing
  • Almost 14inches(35.6cm) of rain
